This year’s art show features “Being Oneself – Code of Nude” by Korean artist Hoon Choi.

Art Show Opening

Date: Fri 15th June, 2012

Time: Opening at 7pm, followed by cocktail hour at 8pm

Venue: Opening at CHAI Living Gallery – 370 Suzhou North Road near Jiangxi North Road; followed by cocktail hour at Bites Lounge – 410C Suzhou North Road near Jiangxi North Road (mojitos for just 38RMB, and all other drinks 15% off)

Code of Nude

Beauty of Human body.  Emotions on it.

Nude means total honesty in my art, completely being oneself, blocking out whatever & whoever around, as in a good state of meditation.

We are living in such a busy, hectic place with rapid changes everywhere.  It constantly requires us to be alert.  And it is hard to be who we really are.  Covering ourself with better looks, healthier physique, wealthier lifestyle & perhaps the state of being happier than who we really are.  Many protections, in other words, lies and pretense.

There are moments I see the beautiful being themselves in daily life.  One who is deeply caught up in a thought or memory, in orgasm, thinking of the person you love, the emotions are the only clothes I can almost see through them.
