LOCATION: Cambio Coffee, 280 Aomen Road, near Changhua Road

LGBTQ+ people over the world live two very distinct realities: as members of groups with similar goals and desires, and as individuals facing their own needs and dreams. How do you identify being part of a community, and do you find yourself in agreement or at odds with that community? For our first Queer Talk of the season we wish to explore the relationships between queer individuals and the communities they comprise. MORE…

Red Ribbon Gala Dinner Returns Dec 1st, 2016

1st Flyer 30Aug2016

HIV/AIDS has become the second highest leading cause of death among adolescents globally. In China, according to China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, there are more than 570,000 people living with HIV/AIDS as at October 2015. Of that number, 9,152 are youths aged between 15 and 24. From 2008 to 2014, the number of youths infected by HIV/AIDS has increased by five times.

The rising trend of HIV/AIDS infections among younger age groups coupled with lack of access to proper information adds to the challenge in HIV/AIDS prevention. There is an urgent need to not only raise awareness on prevention of HIV/AIDS among the younger generation, but also to inform them on what to do, how to get treatment, and where to receive counseling should they be infected.
