ShPFF | Meet the Jury of the CN Short Film Awards

On April 15th, the submissions of ShPFF was closed successfully. Nearly 60 films were submitted to the Chinese Short Film Awards, of which 37 were in line with the requirements and 29 made it into the final round.

Submissions from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, USA, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, etc. are in the run for five awards, including Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Sound & Music. The jury is expecting the films to wow them!MORE…

In recent years, films reflecting the LGBTQ community have caught the attention of the public. At the 80th Oscar’s Academy Awards, “Call Me by Your Name” which narrates gay love and “A Fantastic Woman” that focuses on transgender, won the Best Adapted Screenplay Award and Best Foreign Film respectively.

In 2017, a growing number of excellent LGBTQ films were produced, including “Call Me by Your Name”, “120 Beats Per Minute”, “Thelma”……We even witnessed the film, Moonlight, which won the Best Picture of Academy Awards.
