RED RIBBON GALA DINNER 2015

According to the statistics from UNAIDS.ORG, there were a reported 437,000 people living with HIV/AIDS (including 263,000 people living with HIV and 174,000 AIDS patients) at the end of 2013 (numbers taken from “2014 China AIDS Responses Progress Report” by UNAIDS). There have been progress and achievement made in the terms of care, assistance, and treatment all over the world during the last few years. However, with the number of infected patients increasing and limited technology and methods available especially in certain areas, the living conditions of people living with HIV/AIDS can be very difficult.
This year, ShanghaiPRIDE, Q-Events, and Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai have teamed up to organize the Red Ribbon Gala Dinner. It is an annual fundraising event, held in conjunction with World AIDS Day that involves the generous participation of corporations, sponsors, and individuals to raise funds and gather support for local HIV/AIDS service organizations to help and care for people living with HIV/AIDS. It aims to raise the public awareness, tolerance, and acceptance as well as seek help for HIV/AIDS patients and their families.

TICKETS: ¥900 per seat, ¥8,000 per table (10 seats)
The gala will include a 4-course formal western meal with live entertainment, presentation, speeches, raffles draw, and more. Guests will receive a gift bag each. A special discount will be provided by Kempinski at the top floor bar with a stunning view, Red Passion, for the after party.
Proceeds of the gala will be donated to AIDSLIFE CENTER (滋道), an establishment, founded in March 2006 in Shanghai, consisting of full-time staff, part-time consultants, and volunteer teams that provides care and counselling for HIV/AIDS patients, raises awareness and support from society, and promotes tolerance and anti-discrimination of the infected. The funds raised from the Red Ribbon Gala will be used to improve the quality of life of severe AIDS patients at hospitals, such as helping them purchase medication and basic daily necessities.
