1st China LGBT Talent Job Fair RSVP Now Open!

WorkForLGBT and Shanghai LGBT Professionals is proud to launch registration today for the 1st Annual China LGBT (Lesbian, Gay,Bisexual, and Transgender) Talent Job Fair – the first time in China companies are reaching out to the LGBT community in support of equality, diversity & inclusion in employment. Please join us at the Langham Xintiandi Shanghai Hotel’s 3rd Floor Ballroom on Saturday, April 25th between 2:00 –6:00 pm for this groundbreaking talent & job fair.

Please note due to enormous interest in this event, and to facilitate expected crowd flow, job fair attendees should register for one 1 hour time slot of participation, with four times to chose from: 2:00-3:00, 3:00-4:00, 4:00-5:00, or 5:00-6:00 pm. There are a limited number of spaces available at the fair, and we reserve the right of final confirmation after pre-registration. Please review the following terms before you register:

Important Registration Guidelines:
1. Job seekers should have academic or professional experience relevant toone or more of the companies attending the fair to register.
2. Job seekers should bring copies of their resume to the Fair.
3. Job seekers should dress in business attire for the Fair.
4. Job seekers should register for only one 1 hour time slot, and remain in the Job Fair area only during the designated time period.

Gap Inc. is an American multinational clothing and accessories retailer founded in 1969 and headquartered in San Francisco, California. The company operates six divisions including Old Navy, and has 3,300 stores and 137,000 employees globally.

3. IBM
IBM is an American multinational technology and consulting corporation, with headquarters in Armonk, New York. IBM manufactures and markets computer hardware and software, and offers infrastructure, hosting and consulting services. Founded in 1911, IBM has 380,000 employees globally.

4. Perkins Eastman
Perkins Eastman is an international architecture, interior design, urban design, planning, landscape architecture, graphic design, and project management firm. Headquartered in New York, New York, Perkins Eastman is among the 20 largest architecture firms in the world and one of the largest interior design firms globally.

5. Uber
Uber is an international company headquartered in San Francisco, California that operates the mobile-app-based transportation network called Uber. The Uber app allows consumers to submit a trip request, which is routed to crowd-sourced taxi drivers.The service is available in 55 countries and more than 200 cities worldwide; and has received 3 billion USD in funding.

6. Ford
Ford is an American multinational automaker headquartered in Michigan. It was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903. The company sells automobiles and commercial vehicles under the Ford brand and most luxury cars under the Lincoln brand. Ford today has revenues of 150+ billion USD and employs nearly 200,000 people.

7. Interpublic Group (IPG)
The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (IPG) is one of the “big four” global advertising holding companies with nearly 50,000 employees globally. It is headquartered in New York City and is the parent company of advertising and marketing services agencies around the world.
The company consists of three major networks: McCann Worldgroup, Lowe and Partners, and FCB with media agencies bundled under IPG Mediabrands. Subsidiary groups include Weber Shandwick, Golin, Jack Morton Worldwide, and beyond.

8. Google
Google is an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products which also owns YouTube and Blogger. Google services include online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, and software. Google.com is the most visited website in the world and Google today has revenues of 70 billion USD with nearly 55,000 employees globally.

9. State Street
State Street is a major US-based international financial services holding company. Founded in 1792, it is the second oldest financial institution in the United States. The company employs 30,000 people around the world and claims to have funds under management of $2.3 trillion and assets under custody and administration of $28 trillion (USD), second only to The Bank of New York Mellon.

10. Starbucks
Starbucks Corporation is an American global coffee company and coffeehouse chain based in Seattle, Washington. Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse company in the world, with 21,536 stores in 64 countries and territories, including 12,218 in the United States and 1,716 in China. Starbucks today has 15 billion USD in revenue and 185,000 employees.

11. Kanzhun
Kanzhun.com is China’s largest professional employer rating, employer branding outreach, and employee sharing platform. Established in November 2008, as of February 2015 Kanzhun includes 1,530,000 companies and 140,000 officially authenticated enterprises. Kanzhun currently has 56 million registered users online and 6 million plus user reviews.

12. The Langham Shanghai Xintiandi Hotel
Langham Hospitality Group is a luxury hotels operator dating back to 1865, when The Langham, London opened as Europe’s first ‘Grand Hotel’.
